Denmark is small but perfectly formed and a great, slightly less visited, destination for visitors who wish to explore by car. Thanks to its fabulous coastline, which is home to some four thousand five hundred kilometres of beaches, it’s also a great destination for looking out onto the wonderful views of the water. Outside of the capital, some smaller cities are also particularly interesting and best reached by car, Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark, is a great example of the Viking heritage which dominates Danish culture; it is also home to a beautiful Cathedral, which is a major highlight. These include Frederikshavn, which is a small city located in northern Jutland. Its name translates to "Frederik's harbour" and it is one of Denmark’s strategic harbours. Music lovers will also feel at home in Denmark – with over one hundred different music festivals each year, there is sure to be something that will entice you to get dancing.
