The lovely seaside resort town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer is conveniently located on the sunny French Riviera, almost exactly halfway between the bustling cities of Nice and Monte Carlo, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southeastern France. Inhabited since antiquity, today this once-sleepy fishing village has become a destination for the rich and famous, as well as a popular tourist destination, thanks to its rich history and warm, classically Mediterranean climate.
Beaulieu-sur-Mer features a large harbor that is typically brimming with luxury yachts and takes up most of the eastern coastal portion of town. Not surprisingly, the harbor is well-appointed and offers visitors a wide variety of high-class amenities. In addition, the Villa Kerylos is perched on a promontory overlooking the sea here, and although it was built during the 20th century, it is done in the style on an ancient Greek villa and is therefore classified as a historical monument. |
