The city of Cannes in France is perched on the picturesque French Riviera and is well known throughout the world for hosting the Cannes Film Festival each year in May. It remains a popular tourist destination for the remainder of the year as well, however, due to the excellent climate, many attractions, Mediterranean beaches and museums.
