The urban community of Le Pecq can be found in the Île-de-France region of north-central France, just under 19 kilometers from the center of Paris. It is cradled by a loop of the Seine River, and encompasses both banks, as well as a small island known as Corbière.
Although Le Pecq is highly industrialized, it dates back to the 8th century CE and can be a great base from which to explore the many attractions of the region, so be sure to reserve a rental car for your visit. It also boasts several monuments that are worth checking out within its own territory. These include the 18th century Saint-Wadrille church, as well as the modern, 20th century Saint-Thibault church and an impressive 19th century railway viaduct, which was a marvel of engineering for its time. Also of note, the magnificent 14th century château of Saint-Germain-en-Laye is very close by. |
