The community of Levallois-Perret is located on the right bank of the Seine River in the northwestern suburbs of Paris in the Île-de-France region of north-central France, just over six kilometers from the city’s centre. Densely populated, this is an excellent base from which to explore the many attractions of the region, so be sure to reserve a rental car for your visit!
Levallois-Perret is comprised of a total area of less than one square mile, and is both a residential and an industrial community, where perfume, electrical equipment, radio components and automobiles are manufactured. It is also home to a number of foundries, food-processing plants and distilleries. The community was officially established in the late 1800s, and today boasts a number of excellent shopping and dining opportunities. Also of note, the renowned Île de la Grande Jatt – an island in the Seine River that was beloved by French impressionist painters – lies mostly within Levallois-Perret. |
