Albstadt is the largest city in the district of Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg and home to some of the most beautiful scenery in Germany. Easily reachable by car and steeped in German in heritage, it is particularly home to some spectacular scenery. Hikers can follow the various forest walks that trail off towards the Swabian Alp Mountain range. On Raichberg hill, one can take in the city view and also the Raichberg Transmitter and observation tower. For those interested in underground leisure pursuits some ancient caves are also available for view for visitors. To get to the highest peaks, you can also surprise yourself by discovering the city from a completely different perspective!
Amongst the breathtaking natural landscape, there also feature Romanesque buildings such as St. Mikael’s Church, which serves as a central focal point for the city proper. Other interesting historical buildings include the ruins of Schalksburg and the Stauffenberg castle in Lautlingen district. There are also a variety of cafes and bistros to keep you going on your journey. |
