Eight kilometres to the northeast of Frankfurt and in the district of Hessen, Bad Vilbel has good access to the Autobahn A661 and the B3 Highway as well as an excellent infrastructure. More roads are planned for the near future, which is sure to make visiting this little gem even easier.
Bad Vilbel is regarded as one of the most popular living areas in Frankfurt Rhein-Main. Dating back to the eighth century, the town suffered heavily during the Second World War. However, during the 1970s, the town witnessed something of a re-emergence. Bad Vilbel offers a wealth of activities for young and old. The modern golf course is one of the main attractions and it’s certainly worth taking a tour around the idyllic orchards. Throughout the year, an array of festivals are held here including the Castle Festival. The climate is also pleasant and mild. Frankfurt Strasse offers many opportunities for boutique shopping and eating, and from there you can take in the many fountains dotting the town. These remind you of its impressive past. |
