Easily accessible along the A81 and B27, Balingen is close to Lake Constance as well as the Black Forest. Blessed with some of the finest weather in Germany, it has recently undergone something of a facelift in the centre, with a well designed new centre now leading to the classic street Stadtgrundriß. The main street of Friedrichstrasse offers an array of interesting shops and restaurants, as well as beer gardens and bistros.
