Braunschweig - or ‘Lion City’ - is near the North Sea and serviced by two main autobahns; the A2 and the A39. As such, it is ideally located for drivers. With its roots in the Middle Ages, there are many interesting sights in the city, including churches, the town square, and other historical places. Touring along the Medieval Path which circles the city, you’ll be able to enjoy the views of this rich heritage; the highlight of these is the St. Blasii Cathedral and the Burgplatz which date back to the ninth century.
Aside from this, Braunschweig also offers a vibrant art scene, with many national and international artists exhibiting their works in the city on a regular basis.
