Close to the beautiful landscape of Hohenlohe, Crailsheim is located northeast of the tourist area of the Neckar-Hohenlohe Swabian Forest and is easily accessible by car thanks to excellent transport links. Home to the yearly Franconian Folk Festival, it is a beautiful and accessible point of interest for travellers and is twinned with four other European cities.
The market wells and fountains sit in front of the Friendship Fountain Chapel; a picturesque glimpse into the city’s heritage. The chapel fountain of youth was built at the beginning of the twentieth century and is certainly worth a look. The thriving local art scene has several regular shows and is a must for theatre enthusiasts and art lovers alike. The concert hall, built by Fritz Siegfried Baier in 1956, also showcases regular concerts by soloists, chamber ensembles and whole orchestras. Johannes Church and the fifteenth century castle are also well worth a look. |
