Gronau is located in the Borken district in the North Rhine Regions, and close to the Netherlands, which provides it with an interesting mix of the two cultures. Gronau is home to many multi-national companies and has a strong commercial centre. With over forty sports clubs Gronau is the ideal place for an active holiday, although it is also easily explored by car and reachable from the A30, A31, A1 and B54. You can enjoy lake surfing, boating and fishing in the surrounding areas.
Aside from these active pursuits, Gronau is also home to a vibrant music scene and annually hosts the ‘Groove on the Green’, as well as the Gronau Jazz Festival in April of each year. The Drilandmuseum has many exhibitions and a well cultivated sense of the region. The Drilandmuseum exhibits modern art in the city and is one of the highlights of any trip to Gronau. |
