Located between East Westphalia and the Munsterland, Guetersoh is one of the most picturesque small towns in the region. A traditionally strong economic zone, this thriving hub means that there are many higher end shopping facilities and restaurants offering gourmet food on offer; indeed, the Heritage Day on the thirteenth of September is when Guetersloh is at its best. The Town Hall and Water Tower are great starting points for exploring the town, as are the Old Court, St. Pancras, the Martin Luther Church and the Apostolic Church, City Library weaving between the small museum at the Kokerstasse which have their own particular charm. There are many guided walks on offer.
The New Theatre is home to some of impressive theatrical performances year-round and the adjacent areas are currently being developed in order to create more cultural spaces in Guetersloh. Another point of interest is the Rassfeld Manor Farm, where visitors can sample turkey sausage from the grill, a variety of cakes and other Westphalian cuisine. |
