Ulm is a beautiful example of an old German city at its best, and famous for being the home of the twentieth century’s favourite genius Albert Einstein. One of the main attractions in Ulm is the Church Tower. At 161.53 metres high it is one of the tallest in the world and affords visitors beautiful views of Baden-Wurttenberg Ulm and Neu-Ulm, as well as the Alps. Indeed, the interior of the building - which was designed by Jorg Syrlin Elder in the sixteenth century - is equally as impressive. Visitors can enjoy over a thousand services and events throughout the calendar year.
Strolling through the centre of town, visitors can also take in some of the other Gothic structures, many of which were built in the fifteenth century. The Botanical Garden is also particularly attractive for visitors. Ulm is conveniently accessed along the A8 motorway from Stuttgart and Munich, as well as the A7. |
