One of the most famous islands in Greece, Corfu is located just off the West Coast. It is a popular destination for tourists in Europe. It is easy to drive in Corfu and the roads are generally in good condition, if a little steep.

Visitors can also take the ferry from Italy and mainland Greece before hiring a car which makes a trip here straightforward – you can also drive from Athens. Athens to Igoumounitsa is about a 6 hours drive going by way of the Peloponessos to Patras, though some go the northern route with an overnight stop in Delphi.
