Galway city is a joy, with its narrow streets, old stone and wooden shop fronts, good restaurants and busy pubs. It is the administrative centre of the county and home to the local government, university and college. It is world famous for its Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout fishing and attracts hordes of anglers from every corner of the globe.
