Cassino enjoys a spectacular location, with views of the surrounding Monte Cairo making it a particularly pleasant area to drive in. Situated in Lazio province in the south of Italy, there are some fantastic buildings and monuments to visit during a stay here, including the Abbey of Montecassino and the Cairo Benedictine Monastery.
Given the Roman road around the city, the Cassino area is easily accessible and great for touring the scenery. Some attractions that are highlights include the Polish Cemetary, as well as the Benedictine Monastery and the Abbey of Monte Cassino which is located only ten minutes from the centre of Cassino by car.
The Hotel Piazza Marconi comes particularly recommended for visitors, with its impressive main building and charmingly decorated interior. As the city is currently undergoing a significant makeover, the transport infrastructure is improving at a swift rate which makes driving here increasingly attractive for tourists. |
