Situated in Genoa, Chiavari is a lovely beach town with lots on offer for independent travellers and those with families. The beautiful cobbled streets, such as the Piazza Mazzini, will allow the visitors to forgive themselves for thinking that they have stepped back in time. The coastal area, the Liquria, is particularly nice for evening walks with family and friends, as well as being home to a great range of cafes and bar-bistros.

The Santa Maria stretch of coastline is also superb; with views close to the most beautiful that can be seen in the region. With a Mediterranean climate, Chiavari is ideal for topping up your tan and enjoying some of the finer elements of the Italian lifestyle. Although it is not a hugely ‘driver orientated’ city, you will find that by hiring a car you with make your stay here more convenient all-round.
