A small but vibrant village close to Palermo, Cinisi is an easy drive from its bigger brother. The quiet surroundings are a perfect anecdote for escaping the hustle and bustle, and Cinisi enjoys sumptuous views of the Mediterranean Sea and the mountain scenery around. With its origins in the Arab period, it has successfully made the transition to a modern-day tourist attraction.
Its rich history includes Museums such as the Museo delle Carrozze, and there are several excellent restaurants offering a variety of rustic fare; highly recommended are the Grace Restaurant – which specializes in pizza – and the Villa Adriana. Well-regarded hotels include the Azzolini Palm Beach Hotel and Magaggiari Hotel and Resort which is ideal for those with children. Cinisi is best accessed from Palermo via the A29 on the Palermo Trapani Mazara del Vallo, as well as the SS113 towards Trapani which is less than a hundred kilometres away. |
