Cosenza is a beautiful town which is only 40 kilometres by car from Lamezia Airport. Its neighbour, Biachi, is only 54 kilometres away. Some of the major points of interest for visitors include the National and Public Libraries, the Museum of Bilsotta and the Theatre Alfonso Rendano. Other historical sights well worth looking at include the San Domenico Cathedral and the Hohenstaufen Castle, which has an exciting open air museum at its heart. The House of Culture is another recommended highlight for visitors, and offers a showcase of arts and crafts from Cosenza and the surrounding areas. Cosenza also hosts regular festivals throughout the year, the most popular being the Fest del Cioccolato (or the Chocolate Festival) for obvious reasons!
