Genoa is one of the best known cities in Italy for tourism, and makes its mark as an ancient city. Easily accessed by airport a few kilometres from the city centre, the well developed tourist economy in Genoa is host to thousands of tourist attractions including museums such as the Galata Museo Del Mare and the Museo Del Risorgimento which are particularly recommended. Ways of accessing Genoa by car include the A12, the A26, the A10 and the A7.
The sumptuous Palazzi Dei Rolli is one of the World Heritage Sites and easily negotiated on foot. Among the other diversions on offer in Genoa there are a host of restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias. Genoa’s location close to the Mediterranean sea means that there are particularly excellent ranges of fish dishes and seafood. The Genoa Aquarium is also another highlight and showcases some of beautiful wildlife for all to see. |
