Meda is located in Monza and Brianza province and is also within driving access of cities including Milan which is within a reasonable driving distance. The name Meda itself comes from the concept of ‘Meta’. Some cultural highlights of Meda include the fish festival and the sports festivals that occur in July; during these times, you will be treated to some excellent fish dishes and festivities. Meda is a recommended site for boating throughout the year, and visitors can hire boats to suit their tastes. There are some beautiful scenic areas surrounding the city which can be explored in a car. Also worth looking at are the ancient church of St. Nazzaro and Celso, which are located close to the edge of Seveso.
