Naples is a particularly well known city for tourists, and is situated in the beautiful volcanic area between Vesuvius and Campi Fieri. This vibrant city is home to a sustained cultural and artistic mix, and has flourished over the years as one of the most interesting cities to live and work – as well as visit – in the country.
Some sites to visit include the Holy Mile - which stretches from the tomb of San Gennaro and through some of the most colourful districts in the city – as well as the Museums and Castles. Indeed, it is interesting to take the Metro Number 1 line for the public art inside the stations. Another monument for visitors to look at is the Fontanone Cemetary. The Neopolitans are well known for their excellent hospitality, so visitors can expect a great choice of food and restaurants during a stay here. Particularly recommended dishes are the Pizza Napoletana – the classic dish of the area. |
