Norway, the home of the great painter Edvard Munch, has some beautiful mountains and lively towns. Visit Oslo, the country's capital, and go to the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Munch Museum with a stunning collection of Munch's paintings and graphic works. The Vigeland Park and the Oslo Reptile Park are well worth a visit too. Drive to Roan and marvel at the ruins of a Viking town.
You must walk the unspoilt landscapes of Norway or go skiing in one of the spectacular mountains. There is so much to explore in this country with its lovely coastlines, immense forests, waterfalls, sandy beaches, glaciers and fjords. Visit Kvadraturen with its buildings from the 17th and the 18th century. Haugesund is a small lively town where one can marvel at the numerous historic sites.
And if you have enough time you can always drive to Sweden or Finland. Hire a car in Norway and visit one of the best tourist destinations the world to see what it has to offer. |
