Located in the famous Costa Del Sol area, Estepona enjoys a wonderful location between sea and mountain, with over twenty kilometres of beach stretching beside the sea. It is easily accessible by car from Gibraltar Airport and along the A7. Estepona retains a natural charm that isn’t heavily influenced by the number of tourists who regularly visit the town. Some noteworthy landmarks include the Town Clock Tower and the San Luis Castle. Dating back to the Roman times, Estepona is also home to a fine collection of Roman artefacts including ceramics, coins and marble statues which are housed in the local museums.
Most of these are housed in the local Museum. The fishing port and marina areas are home to a variety of great bistros and restaurants, and the small shops sell many locally produced handicrafts and goods. Estepona is also a golf lovers’ dream – there are several golf courses that are close to the town and within easy access by car. |
