Situated to the East of the Mediterranean, Tarragona is a picturesque example of the beauty of Spanish coastal cities. With a mild and pleasant climate, visitors can enjoy visiting the many monuments dating from the Roman era that are scattered throughout the town. With a host of festivities, Tarragona also provides an exciting option for those on tour; indeed, it has even been nominated as one of the European Cultural Capitals in 2016 and will host the 2017 Mediterranean Games at its newly revamped Marina area.
The golden beaches are called the Costa Deronda, and are some great examples of what one would expect from Spain’s beach life. Swimming and sea bathing are particularly popular here. The Roman aqueduct known as the Devil’s Bridge is also another highlight of any visit here. A walk around this area will likely provide many other examples of the natural scenic beauty of Tarragona. |
