The third largest city in Spain, Valencia sits on the beautiful Costa del Azahar. With a population approaching two million, Valencia is well known as an industrial and business center as well as being a popular tourist attraction.

The city center of Valencia is typified by many grand squares, each containing at least one building in the baroque style. As with all the major Spanish cities, the Moors also had a major influence in architecture which still is very much in evidence. The impressive renaissance styled Valencia cathedral offer tremendous views of the city landscape from the top of the tower. Valencia is particularly well know for its museums with one of the best known being the Museo de Bellas Artes where works from many of Spain’s finest traditional artists can be viewed. For followers of modern art, the entertainment complex of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is well worth a view.
