Airolo is situated on the south foothills of the Gotthard Pass, which is the ideal driving route between the Leventina Valley and Bisaca. A municipality the Canton of Ticino, it boasts sumptuous year-round views and is popular with holiday makers for hiking in particular. Summer is the opportune time for exploring the mountain routes where you can also discover further historical places of interest such as the huts of Cristallina, Corno Gries and Cadagno.
