Hiring a car during your trip here is a convenient way to travel from it's capital Lusaka, but caution should be taken when driving along deserted roads. The National Park of South Luangwa is one of the best regarded parks in Zambia and one of the most majestic in Africa. There, you can see a wide variety of unusual animals such as impalas, pukus and buffalo. This is certainly worth a driving trip. Close by there is a village, Mfuwe, which is a village with shops, a petrol station and a market and will cater for basic needs.
