A beautiful family resort town in the Provence-Alpes-Cote-d’Azur region of France, Cavalaire is perched along three kilometers of sparkling sandy beach on the most southern point of the coast in the Var department. The resort, known as Cavalaire-sur-Mer, is well known for its many water sports and is host to the annual Jet Games held each September.

While visiting, consider taking a day trip by boat to the Golden Islands of Port-Cros, Porquerolles, and Le Levant. Also, the Fenouillet footpath is a favorite coastal hiking trail that leads to Cap Carnarat and into a gorgeous nature preserve. The market here, held each week on Wednesday morning in the Place Jean Moulin, is also second to none.
