Car Hire in Dijon
Throughout the 14th and 15th centuries, Dijon was one of the grandest cities in France, indeed in all of Europe! Nestled in the Burgundy region, Dijon has a distinctly modern feel, despite the numerous medieval buildings that can still be found here. Famed widely for its mustard, the town and surrounding area is nearly as famous for its fine wine, so be sure to check out the weekly markets, which are held on Fridays and Saturdays.
The main street in town is the Rue de la Liberte, and this is a great place to begin exploring! Here, a wide variety of excellent restaurants and fine shops will keep any visitor occupied, but be sure to check out the other main points of interest in town as well. Perhaps the most popular attraction here is the Duke’s Palace and the adjacent Place de la Liberation, but the streets surrounding the cathedral are also phenomenal, as are the countless fine homes that are located in the Notre Dame region of town. |
