Located in the northeastern suburbs of magnificent Paris, France, Le Bourget is only 10.6 kilometers from the center of the world-famous city! Here, visitors can enjoy a visit to the French Museum of Air and Space, and could even plan a visit to coordinate with the renowned Paris Air Show, which is hosted on odd years at the Le Bourget Airport. Also of note, the airport is perhaps most famous for being the landing site for Charles Lindbergh’s historic, 1927 transatlantic crossing in the single-seat, single-engine monoplane named the Spirit of St. Louis.
Located in the Ile de France region in the north-central part of the country, be sure to reserve a rental car when visiting Le Bourget, as the city is situated very close to many of the top tourist destinations in the region. Of particular interest, the Chateau de Versailles is a must-see, boasting many gorgeous fountains and stunning formal gardens. |
