The charming town of Tresses can be found in the Aquitaine region of southwestern France, just over 14 kilometers east of Bordeaux and 250 kilometers northwest of Toulouse. While here, take time to view the Château la Séguinie, and also be sure to reserve a rental car for your visit, in order to enjoy easy access to the many cultural and historical attractions located throughout the area.
For example, the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees Mountains can be found in the region, while human settlement can be traced all the way back to prehistoric times. Today, Tresses lies within the Gironde department, which is renowned among surfers for its gorgeous Côte d'Argent, or ‘silver coast,’ beach. In addition, be certain to check out a few vineyards while visiting, as the region is world-renowned for its high-priced red and white ‘first growths.’ Also of note, the nearby city of Bordeaux features one of the largest 18th century architectural urban areas in all of Europe. |
